Two critical aspects of technology security are knowing what you are protecting and knowing the source of the threat. The threat is to your business information such as customer or financial data. The threat comes both from external (Internet hackers) and internal (employees). If you know the threat and what they are after, this allows you to systematically reduce the threat by focusing on solutions to remove the vulnerabilities to the target of the threat...your business.
I attended the EEOC Technical Assistance Seminar in Dallas on Monday. The first half of the seminar was outstanding and I'll post about some of the presentations later this week. However, the one presentation that slapped me in the face covered an online test for bias for against particular groups.
